摘要: Abstract Background Treatment of newly diagnosed GBM with postoperative RT and concomitant TMZ followed by 6 months maintenance therapy has been shown to significantly improve overall survival compared alone. Standard clinical assessments these patients include Gd-MRI as well neurologic evaluation. Frequently, exhibit immediate post-RT changes in enhancement on that mimic tumor progression (ie, pseudoprogression or radiation-induced imaging changes). With the introduction plus for treatment malignant glioma, there appears be an increasing incidence pseudoprogression. Case Description In our experience, after is typically not observed at first immediately completion therapy; but delayed focal mimicking frequently occurs during TMZ. Pseudoprogression may reflect radiosensitizing effect therapy, retaining allows them have enhanced preserved quality life. We 3 cases among 54 consecutive who were treated this regimen. These developed within 2 TMZ, all completed chemotherapy remained free least 15 diagnosis. Conclusion Functional noninvasive diagnosis pseudoprogression, randomized prospective studies are needed evaluate real impact validate neuroradiological techniques able make a reliable distinction between recurrence
