摘要: Abstract The geology, inferred evolution and classification according to widely accepted schemes of 22 basins from the Indian Precambrian record on Arravali–Bundelkhand, Singhbhum, Bastar Dharwar cratons are discussed in this volume. Although their is biased owing all depositories having continental lithospheric substrates, most reflect divergent plate motion thus stretching cooling. Convergent concomitant flexure loading postulated for Kurnool Basin Eastern Craton supracrustals. Transcurrent interpreted Bhima Kaladgi–Badami basins. Cuddapah suggests a complex polyhistory influenced by both mantle circulation/dynamic topography loading-related lithosphere. Mantle circulation dynamic may have played role Dhalbhum Dalma–Chandil Examination possible time trends indicates that pre- c. 2.0 Ga were mostly rifts, followed some intracratonic lesser rift-sag back-arc basins; post- exhibit much larger range basin types.
