摘要: The thermal decomposition of ammonium nitrate (AN) and potassium chloride (KCl) mixtures was investigated. properties were studied using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), the evolved gas analyzed thermogravimetry with mass spectrometry pressurized DSC coupled (TG–DTA–MS PDSC–MS). measurements AN/KCl in sealed sealed-separated sample pans showed a sharp exothermic lower onset temperature than pure AN, whereas an open pan exhibited endothermic reaction. In pan, separator pinhole divided KCl AN physically could interact both KCl. TG–DTA–MS results revealed that HCl from AN/KCl, which indicated reaction HNO3 dissociated formed HCl, subsequent destabilization AN. However, did not indicate violent due to ordinary pressure conditions. PDSC–MS used observe two reactions analyze gases reactions. A first accompanied by large amount N2 N2O without H2O, second N2O, other occurred subsequently. are $$ {\text{HCl }} + {\text{HNO}}_{ 3} \to {\text{NO}}_{ 2} {\text{Cl {\text{H}}_{ {\text{O {\text{O}} $$ , have energy barrier 103 kJ mol−1 is needed for homolysis cleavage, triggered decomposition, {\text{OH}} . We therefore concluded reacts produce Cl radicals via NO2Cl, radical triggers chain
