摘要: The present study examined the regional localization of corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF)- and 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT)-immunoreactive (IR) fibers within rat dorsal raphe nucleus (DRN) using immunohistochemistry. Additionally, effects CRF, administered intracerebroventricularly (0.1–3.0 μg) or intraraphe (0.3–30 ng), on discharge rates putative 5-HT DRN neurons were quantified in vivo single unit recording halothane-anesthetized rats. CRF-IR at all rostrocaudal levels exhibited a topographical distribution. CRF produced predominantly inhibitory lower doses these diminished became excitatory higher doses. Inhibition by was attenuated nonselective antagonist, DPheCRF12–41 CRF-R1-selective antalarmin, implicating CRF-R1 receptor subtype electrophysiological effects. findings provide anatomical physiological evidence for an impact DRN-5HT system.
