摘要: British populations of the seaweed fly Coelopa frigida are polymorphic for large α/β inversion on chromosome I(Butlin etal., Heredity 48: 45–55). Flies from Norway, Sweden and Denmark shown to possess same polymorphism, exhibit similar though not identical polymorphisms at two enzyme-determining loci associated with this inversion. There is a cline in frequencies North Sea, through Skagerrak Kattegat, into Baltic This correlates salinities, algal composition beds which breeds, presence sibling species C. pilipes. It suggested that heterokaryotypic advantage major selective force maintaining genotype-related differences generation times, longevity beds, may constitute lesser forces acting frequencies.
