摘要: Purpose: While the effectiveness of teleophthalmology is generally accepted, its ability to diagnose glaucomatous eye disease remains relatively unknown. This study aimed compare a web-based assessment with clinical slit lamp examination screen for glaucoma among diabetics in rural African district. Materials and Methods: Three hundred nine diabetic patients underwent both by comprehensive ophthalmologist teleglaucoma (TG) subspecialist. Both assessments were compared any focal damage; TG, quality photographs was assessed, vertical cup-to-disk ratio (VCDR) calculated semi-automated manner. In VCDR > 0.7, diagnostic precision Frequency Doubling Technology (FDT) C-20 screening program assessed. Results: Of 309 TG photos, 74 (24%) deemed unreadable due media opacities, patient cooperation, unsatisfactory photographic technique. identification individual optic nerve factors showed either fair or moderate agreement, based on overall agreement (Kappa [κ] statistic 0.55% 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.48-0.62). The use FDT detect presence disc damage (VCDR 0.7) substantial (κ 0.84 CI 0.79-0.90). A positive diagnosis carried 77.5% predictive value, negative an 82.2% predicative value relative examination. Conclusion: There between using Poor can severely limit glaucoma. Although further work validation needed, approach provides novel, promising method glaucoma, major cause ocular morbidity throughout world.
