摘要: Abstract The timing, duration, and intensity of summer water restrictions differentially affect overall olive fruit growth production, based on the underlying developmental processes. For that, component tissue morphogenetic response to different irrigation strategies during was examined in a hedgerow orchard cv. Arbequina. Control trees (CON) were irrigated maintain root zone close field capacity throughout growth. From budburst 4 weeks after full bloom (WAFB) (Period 1) from 14 WAFB harvest (at 23 WAFB) 4) all treatments as CON. Two severe deficit applied by irrigating 30% CON 9 2) DI-P2 or 3) DI-P3. Moderate Periods 2 3 50% DI-P2&3. Growth development its tissues (exocarp, mesocarp endocarp), composition, cell area number, epidermal characteristics at end each period evaluated. Water deficits significantly reduced volume time when they applied. Mesocarp size more sensitive than endocarp showed high recovery rewatering. Although majority cells developed Period 1, substantial number also formed later. While unaffected reduction any periods, highly affected but with recoverability. Endocarp restriction effect continued until harvest. Fruit oil content not restrictions, whereas which most responded both increases decreases irrigation. Cuticle thickness, appeared respond regime expansion pressures.
