摘要: Understanding the nature and structure of Web traffic is essential for valid simulations networking technologies that affect end-to-end performance HTTP connections. We provide data suitable construction synthetic generators in doing so retrospectively examine evolution traffic. use a simple efficient analysis methodology based on examination only TCP/IP headers one-half (server-to-client) connection. show impact protocol improvements such as persistent connections well modern content reflect influences "banner ads," server load balancing, distribution networks. Lastly, we comment methodological issues related to acquisition performing these analyses, including effects trace duration boundaries.
