摘要: Abstract Post-stroke seizures occur in 5–20% of patients. Modeling stroke-induced animals provides a useful tool for investigating the molecular basis epileptogenesis and developing therapies stroke patients at increased risk epileptogenesis. The questions addressed study were: (1) Do rats develop spontaneous after transient occlusion middle cerebral artery (MCAO)? (2) Is associated with impaired hippocampus-dependent spatial learning memory? (3) Are functional abnormalities linked to axonal plasticity dentate gyrus? (4) Does sensorimotor impairment induced by MCAO predict epileptogenesis? Adult male Sprague–Dawley were subjected 120min. Development was monitored 1 week continuous video-electroencephalographic (EEG) recordings 3, 7, 12 months MCAO. Spontaneous not detected during 1-year follow-up ischemic rats.
