Professing tourism: tourism academics as educators, researchers and change leaders

摘要: Three different sources - the published accounts of a select few academics, details from personal experiences, and interviews (N=12) surveys international academics (N=42) are used to identify key issues confronting tourism academic role. It is suggested that concerns with disciplinary status methods, perceived public relevance research education, management careers common cross-national cross-generational topics. Using reflexive avowedly approach, suggestions on understanding managing these offered.
