摘要: The advent of gene transfer technology, which allows the introduction well-characterized, cloned genes into permanent genetic make-up mammalian species, including laboratory mice (17,56) and domestic farm ani mals (20), holds promise providing a new methodology for improvement livestock. Indeed, using these recombinant procedures, greater may soon be achieved in single generation an animal than has previously been possible classical selection over period decades. But, order to realize this promise, it will necessary not only introduce specific composition animals but also regulate expression transgenes concert with existing physiological requirements animal.
