A brief history of the compact range and the near-field range

摘要: The author elaborates on two of innovations that created the need for Antenna Measurement Techniques Association (AMTA), compact range and near-field range. On a far-field antenna source must be located at distance such its spherical phase front is approximately planar over aperture whose pattern being measured.
