Laparoscopic Hepatic Transection Using Microwave

摘要: With recent advances in the techniques and devices used laparoscopic surgery, number of surgical teams attempting liver resection has been gradually increasing. The critical determinant for safe hepatectomy is thorough familiarity with instruments equipment maintenance hemostasis. Thermal precoagulation parenchymal transection plane performed by using microwave energy helps reduce blood loss during transection, especially patients cirrhosis. Currently, 5- to 10-mm-diameter 45° flexible-angle needle probes (Endo-Angle Probe®) are available minimally invasive surgery including pure endoscopic, hand- or endoscopy-assisted resections. Microwave also allows simultaneous tumor ablation resection, even procedures multiple tumors. Although requires careful selection instrumentation, use tissue coagulation could contribute surgery.
