摘要: Cuscuta chinensis Lam. (Convolvulaceae) is an important herbal medicine widely used to improve sexual function, treat osteoporosis, and prevent aging, has been reported exhibit anti-osteoporotic effects in vitro. However, the activity of on glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis still remains unclear. The present study aimed assess protective effect underlying mechanism action extract (CCE) against vivo. Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups as follows: control group, 2 CCE-treated (100 mg·kg-1·day-1). Blood samples femur bones collected for immunohistochemistry, biochemical, mRNA expression, western blot analysis. HPLC analysis revealed that chlorogenic acid, quercetin, hyperin major constituents CCE. results indicated CCE increased bone length, weight, mineral density suppressed dexamethasone (DEX)-induced reduction body weight. In addition, TRAP staining reduced osteoclasts DEX-induced rats. Mechanistically, treatment alleviated increase resorption markers decline osteogenic markers, which might be partially mediated by regulation RANKL/OPG RunX2 pathways. These suggest showed promising protection through protecting osteoblasts suppressing osteoclastogenesis.
