摘要: Calorimetric and Young's-modulus measurements reveal that the as-spun ${\mathrm{Al}}_{86}$${\mathrm{Mn}}_{14}$ quasicrystal exhibits structural relaxation at temperatures well below icosahedral-orthorhombic transition. The enthalpy of is \ensuremath{\simeq}90 cal/mol Young's modulus increases by \ensuremath{\sim}1%. annealed samples upon heating show a reversible endothermic reaction an elastic origin which also reflected in appearance loss modulus. activation energies range from 42 to 51 kcal/mol. behaviors are many ways very similar those glassy ${\mathrm{Al}}_{50}$${\mathrm{Si}}_{30}$${\mathrm{Mn}}_{20}$ ${\mathrm{Pd}}_{77}$${\mathrm{Cu}}_{6}$${\mathrm{Si}}_{17}$.
