摘要: This article presents a novel processing method of self-healing acrylic thermoplastic material starting from healing agent in solution form. The system consisted the dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) dimethylformamide (DMF) and catalyst bis(tricyclohexylphosphine) benzylidene ruthenium (IV) dichloride (called Grubbs' catalyst) dichloromethane (DCM). Hollow glass tubes filled with components were incorporated into autopolymerizing resins. one set was DCPD (containing dye Rhodamine B as marker) other dichloromethane. FTIR DSC analyses revealed that poly(DCPD) film formed at healed interface. low energy impact tests samples showed recovery 83% after 4 days. benefits Grubb's are twofold; besides repair cracks, which is common for such system, reaction could decrease content residual monomer resin, reduce diffusion out POLYM.
