摘要: INTRODUCTION Heterotopic vascular calcification is a common complication of maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients. Galectin 3 (Gal-3) has been reported to be associated with cardiovascular calcification. The current study aims explore the potential predictive value serum Gal-3 for severe abdominal aortic (AAC) and AAC progression in MHD METHODS A prospective cohort who underwent during July 2014 at Blood Purification Center Ruijin Hospital were followed up 3 years. Two assessments performed: one baseline after 3-year follow-up period. Serum was detected quantitative ELISA kits. SPSS 23.0 MedCalc 11.4.2.0 used analyze data. FINDINGS One hundred fifty-two patients recruited. Approximately 59.9% male, median age 60 (50-67) years. Logistic regression analysis indicated that an independent risk factor both progression.
