Green nail syndrome treated with the application of tobramycin eye drop.

摘要: Green nail syndrome (chromonychia) is a disorder characterized by onycholysis and green-black discoloration of the bed. This condition often associated with chronic paronychia. Pseudomonas aeruginosa most commonly identified organism in cultures from affected area. Despite various treatment options available, removal still necessary many cases. A 35-year-old man presented dark-greenish plate on left thumbnail. He had been treated oral antifungal antibiotic agents for several months; however, lesion showed no improvement. The diagnosis green was established after positive bacterial culture, basis sensitivity test result, tobramycin eye drop (Tobrex®) then prescribed. Three weeks later, almost vanished but remained. Herein, we recommend application as an easy safe option syndrome.
