摘要: Forty years afterBrown v. Topeka Board of Education, the U.S. Supreme Court's decision declaring de jure segregated schools unconstitutional, we are still seeking full implementation that decree. Most Americans accepted limited ofBrown, and degree acceptance is split along racial lines. Racial dialogue has changed. White Americans, who control desegregation process, develop integration plans to their advantage. School was not implemented until after passage 1964 Civil Rights Act peaked in 1972. Today, school declining due a backlash, changing demographics, resources. However,Brown success because it rid country legalized state segregation by race education other areas public policy. The Court could merge equality standards ofPlessy Ferguson ofBrown give us quality integrated education.
