Major Professor: German Posada. Associations between maternal sensitivity, mind-mindedness, infant socioemotional (SE) functioning were examined in a sample 40 mother-infant dyads. Semi-structured home observations conducted to assess sensitivity collect ratings depression SE functioning. Mindmindedness was assessed during free play teaching interactions the visit. Sensitivity at positively associated with mind-mindedness interaction, but not interaction. Neither nor mindmindedness significantly total scores, or scores on 3 subscales (adaptive functioning, self-regulation, interaction people). A trend self-regulation explored via regression analysis revealed be non-significant.
