摘要: Tank-raised Clarias gariepinus (mean total length, 30.05±4.05cm,SD; mean weights, 250.04±50.22gSD) were injected intra-muscularly with two millilitres per kilogram of each five concentrations (2.00, 2.00, 6.00, 8.00 and 10.00ppm) aqueous extracts leaves of Lepidagathis alopecuroides above the lateral line. The fish in control group same dose distilled water. There four treatment level. On 14th day was assessed for organ indices (hepatosomatic index, HIS; cardiosomatic CSI; renatosomatic RSI spleenosomatic SSI) Fulton’s condition, K . Blood samples analysed packed cell volume, PCV; haemoglobin, Hb; red blood cell, RBC white WBC platelets. plasma transaminases (aspartate transaminase, AST; alanine AST), alkaline phosphostase, ALP lactate dehydrogenase, LDH.  values PCV (p 0.05) higher than those treated group. However, decline not concentration-dependent. increase number exposed twofold above between except SSI. HSI showed variable responses relative to concentration, while heart a very slight size. SSI had reverse pattern. Exposure of C. gariepinus to L. alopercuroides in the open waters during fishing activity may impact negatively on physiology as manifested changes some parameters, enzymes fish.   Key words: Clarias gariepinus, Leidagagthis.alopercuroides, plasma enzymes, indices, condition.
