摘要: Wind tunnel measurements of the boundary layer flow over a very rough surface comprising staggered array cubes are presented and discussed. Attention is concentrated on near-wall region, including canopy region below tops roughness elements. Particle image velocimetry (PIV) laser Doppler anemometry were used to identify dominant features mean turbulent these compared with better-known above roughness. Spatial correlation data, extracted from PIV images, provide information about eddy structures it shown that differ in some crucial respects those typical more classical layers. The implications results discussed terms their relevance flows within urban environment.
