摘要: Objective: Aim of the study was to investigate effects thyroxine on pre metamorphic tadpoles common Asian toad, Duttaphrynus melanostictus (Anura: Bufonidae), an ideal model for understanding role during vertebrate development. Methods: Tadpoles two developmental stages, i.e., Gosner stege 30 and 34 exposed 50, 100 200 ng/ml by adding hormone tadpole rearing water. Toxic teratogenic were recorded. Besides, specific activity acid phosphatase, a lysosomal marker enzyme in tails investigated. Results: A Dose stage toxic effect observed treated tadpoles. There precocious metamorphosis with incomplete differentiation limbs, deformities body tail Biochemical investigation showed dose elevation phosphatase up 2.5 fold 50 3.15 as compared corresponding control Conclusion: Thus, exhibited well developing also led dependent vivo their tails.
