摘要: Slushflows are natural hazards that pose considerable danger to communities across the globe. These events characterized by rapid mass movement of water-inundated snow downslope, and they cause economic damage as well fatalities in many different climates regions. As global climate changes human populations industries potentially expand higher latitudes, it will be important fully understand slushflow hazard since an anticipated increase frequency rain-on-snow earlier spring thaw would likely probability slushflows. This article: (1) summarizes factors favor development slushflows; (2) discusses management implications (3) examines policies employed prevent mitigate damage; (4) sets out need for modifications systems. Conclusions drawn hope address future research needs effort create better suit at-risk communities.
