摘要: Apple farming is an important activity and profession of farmer communities in the Himalayan states India. At present, traditional apple under stress due to changes climate. The present study was undertaken Indian state, Himachal Pradesh, with major aim studying perceptions farmers on effects climate change along altitudinal gradient. Through questionnaire survey, were recorded at low hills ( 3000 m). all elevation range majority reported that there increase atmospheric temperature, hence 72% believed this temperature responsible for decline fruit size so quality. Thirty five percent high 30% mid perceived frost as a cause damaging whereas 24% hailstorm deterrent farming. farmers, altitude (92% hills, 79% 83% hills), decrease snowfall. 71% hill areas refused About 73–83% admitted delay apple’s harvesting period. scab pest attack crops are considered indicators change. land use practices attributed many replaced production coarse grains, seasonal vegetables other horticulture species. Scientific investigation claiming corroborates examined during study.
