摘要: Multicast transmission has several distinctive traits as opposed to more commonly studied unicast networks. Specially, these include (i) identical packets must be delivered successfully nodes, (ii) outage could simultaneously happen at different receivers, and (iii) the multicast rate is dominated by receiver with weakest link in order minimize retransmission. To capture key traits, we utilize a Poisson cluster process consisting of distinct point (PPP) for transmitters then define capacity (MTC) maximum achievable times number clusters per unit volume, accounting outages retransmissions. Our main result shows that if $\tau$ attempts are allowed cluster, MTC $\Theta\left(\rho k^{x}\log(k)\right)$ where $\rho$ $x$ functions depending on network size density, $k$ average intended receivers cluster. We also show an appropriate retransmissions can significantly enhance MTC.
