摘要: Moldable shrunken foam beads comprising a foamable thermoplastic polymer, preferably silane-crosslinked polyolefin foam, are produced by mixing composition silane-modified (such as silane-grafted polyethylene) and silanol condensation catalyst in an extruder to produce melt, then projecting blowing agent into the melt at rate effective desired density extrudate; extruding cutting form beads; allowing shrink; exposing moisture silane crosslinking of foam. In certain other embodiments polymer can be omitted, and/or shrinkage vacuum treatment.
