Studies of the lichen genus Ochrolechia. 1. A new classification for Pertusaria subplicans and P. rhodoleuca

摘要: A reexamination of the ascus structure, spore type, and chemistry saxicolous lichens Pertusaria subplicans Nyl. P. rhodoleuca Th. Fr. has revealed them to be better classified within genus Ochrolechia. The following new combinations have therefore been introduced: Ochrolechia (Nyl.) comb.nov. O. (Th. Fr.) is apparently restricted northern Europe, leaving as name American material. It possible discern two ecologically defined subspecies subplicans, each with slight chemical morphological distinctions: subsp. hultenii (Erichs.) Brodo method described for determining precise location gyrophoric, alectoronic, variolaric acids an ascoma by using a combination conventional ultraviolet spot-test techniques.
