Stainless steel wire and process for production

摘要: Stainless steel contains by weight 0-0.03% carbon, 0-2% manganese, 0-0.5% silicon, 8-9% nickel, 17-18% chromium, 0-0.4% molybdenum, 3-3.5% copper, nitrogen, less than 0.01% sulphur and 0.04% phosphorous, the rest being iron impurities. Also claimed are wire made of this steel, 2 mm. in diameter with tensile strength over 2100 MPa, also heating a preformed such at least 5 fast-quenching it to produce an austenitic structure, then cold-drawing below
