摘要: The essential requirement for the effective phytoremediation is selection of a plant species which should be metal tolerant, with high biomass production and known agronomic techniques. above mentioned criteria are met by crop sorghum (Sorghum bicolor). response hydroponically grown S. bicolor plants to cadmium zinc stress was followed. impact application on physiological parameters, including changes in chlorophylls contents antioxidative enzymes activities, followed during progression. Cadmium were accumulated primarily roots plants. However, elevation concentrations media promoted their transfer shoots. Toxic effects metals applied at lower less serious shoots comparison influence roots. When higher concentrations, into leaves increased, causing growth reduction leading Chl loss metal-induced chlorosis. Moreover, levels overcame quenching capacity peroxidase glutathione transferase, associated activities. Fortification antioxidant system addition significantly increased accumulation as well highest concentration applied.
