摘要: Many problems in animal behavior can be viewed as dynamic control problems. In this paper, the viewpoint is used to analyze certain behavioral decisions of insects, particular oviposition site selection and clutch size. The theory motivated by work on parasitic wasps fruit insects--particularly apple maggot (Rhagoletis pomonella) medfly (Ceratitis capitata). presented paper based Markovian decision processes either discrete or continuous time. these processes, objective functional a measure fitness obtained through egg production. closes with some speculations about how insects may able solve programming
