摘要: Dependence liability of 10 drugs was tested in rhesus monkeys. Two to four experiments were conducted with each drug: acute central nervous system effect observation normal monkeys, substitution barbital-dependent and withdrawn long-term administration drug-naive monkeys continuous self-administration an intracardiac or intragastric catheter naive and/or self-administration-experienced Barbital withdrawal signs suppressed by pentobarbital, alcohol, chloroform, meprobamate, diazepam, chlordiazepoxide oxazolam, but not benzoctamine, perlapine chlorpromazine. The former group drugs, the exception chloroform meprobamate which tested, produced physical dependence marked barbiturate-like signs. Monkeys voluntarily ingested pentobarbital-Ca alcohol extent that depression severe observed some self-administered oxazolam intragastrically intravenously. However, during this experiment, animals heavily depressed did manifest No experiment meprobamate. By criteria our experimental design, benzoctamine found be dependence-free drugs.
