摘要: The Middle Sao Francisco River valley is a vast territorial area with marked seasonal change and diversity of lithology, landscapes, soil, vegetation. However, the relationships between soil characteristics plant communities are poorly known. In this study, we show key properties that determine establishment savanna-steppe, wooded savanna, semideciduous forest, deciduous forest in region through analysis 166 profiles. general, savanna soils much more leached, Al-saturated, sandier, they located highlands regional landscape. Savanna-steppe eutrophic, yet sodic or solodic shallow, always associated lowlands. forests highly variable terms properties, their distribution seems to be controlled by water availability. There great similarity savanna-steppe soils, which overall alkaline, well developed, so phytophisiognomy main difference these two formations. semiarid phytogeography ecotonal zone influenced contrasts (Cerrado) (Caatinga), very similar respective core reference areas. comparison neighboring Caatinga Cerrado, have contrasting highlighting them as separate phytogeographic entity.
