摘要: Abstract Energy efficiency in manufacturing has become a critical topic among researchers and industries. As result, there been worldwide effort to improve the transparency of energy for all activities. The studies unit processes have provided fundamental knowledge characterising processes, which initially applied conventional (e.g. turning, milling, injection moulding, etc.). However, nonconventional remain absent. This paper presented an empirical approach characterise electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes. derived model revealed reverse relationship between specific consumption material removal rate (MRR). Owing stochastic nature EDM existing analytical semi-empirical MRR models cannot practically predict MRR. Alternatively, was also test different theoretical derive coefficients prediction purpose. combined can with accuracy more than 90%. methodology tested validated two ram machines.
