摘要: Abstract The optical properties in the UV–visible region of poly (ethylene oxide) polymer containing 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% by weight aluminum oxide (Al2O3) are reported. results obtained were analyzed terms absorption formula for non-crystalline materials. coefficient α(ν) band energy gap (Eopt) have been from direct allowed transitions k-space at room temperature. tail widths (ΔE) localized states evaluated using Urbach-edges method. It was found that both vary with concentration complex dispersed matrix, measured is greater than PEO/Al2O3 composites. refractive index (n) composites determined collected transmittance reflectance spectra. dispersion discussed single oscillator model. gaps Eopt, constants such as index, extinction dielectric constant estimated.
