摘要: Objective The gut hormone peptide YY3-36 (PYY3-36), present in placental and fetal intestinal tissues, inhibits gastric pancreatic secretion, reduces motility mesenteric blood flow is involved the regulation of food intake energy balance. We aimed to study cord PYY3-36 concentrations intrauterine growth-restricted (IUGR; usually associated with decreased growth, feeding intolerance increased incidence necrotising enterocolitis) appropriate-for-gestational age (AGA) pregnancies investigate possible correlations several demographic parameters infants at birth. Methods were determined by radioimmunoassay 50 mixed arteriovenous samples from IUGR (n = 14) AGA 36) singleton full-term infants. Results No significant differences found between groups. In both groups, for every gram increase birthweight (b −0.077, 95% CI −0.134 −0.02, p = 0.009). significantly lower females 45.38, −88.89 −1.86, p = 0.041). Finally, did not depend on parity or delivery mode. Conclusions Lack difference groups possibly suggests that may be directly disturbances growth function IUGR. However, documented negative association birth weight imply effect this adiposity homeostasis. Lower due stimulation receptors oestradiol. as a pilot study, further reports are required elucidate role perinatal period.
