摘要: Background. Despite numerous reports published since the early 1970s, it is frequently asserted that quality of life (QOL) outcomes transplantation have seldom been investigated and/or little known about QOL. This view may persisted due to lack adequate cumulation and synthesis existing data. We performed an exhaustive, quantitative literature review determine nature degree any QOL benefits associated with in adults. Methods. All independent, peer-reviewed empirical, English-language studies were retrieved for six areas transplantation: kidney, pancreas/combined kidney-pancreas, heart, lung/combined heart-lung, liver, bone marrow. Studies' findings analyzed whether weight evidence suggested (a) improved from pre- posttransplant, (b) transplant recipient was better than patient comparison groups, (c) equaled healthy nonpatient samples. Results. A total 218 independent studies, evaluating a approximately 14,750 patients, identified. The majority demonstrated statistically significant (P<0.05) posttransplant improvements physical functional QOL, mental It health/cognitive status, social functioning, overall perceptions. documented global advantages recipients relative ill groups. did not indicate specific healthy, cohorts, although perceptions often high. Conclusions. Although re-store normal he/she once had, convergent transplantation, variety study designs, demograph-ically diverse cohorts suggests there are distinct transplantation.
