摘要: Background Paclitaxel and docetaxel are antineoplastic drugs that bind the microtubules, producing arrest of mitoses, which may be seen histopathologically. These histopathologic changes simulate an intraepidermal keratinocytic malignant neoplasm, accurate diagnosis only established by clinicopathological correlation. Objectives We report six cases cutaneous eruptions taxanes in a striking cytotoxic effect was evident histopathologically. Methods Cutaneous biopsies were obtained each patient. Results Atypical starburst-like or ring-like mitoses dyskeratosis on basal suprabasal layers epidermis. Areas squamous syringometaplasia also one case. Discussion These findings interpreted as expression mitotic due to taxanes. Similar have been described association with other chemotherapeutic such vincristine, podophyllin its derivative etoposide; colchicine, busulfan maytansine, but like ours exceptional under-reported. Conclusion Dermatopathologists should aware these effects order interpret carefully biopsy specimens patients receiving
