摘要: Purpose: To evaluate wavefront performance and modulation transfer function (MTF) in the human eye after implantation of diffractive or refractive multifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs). Materials Methods: This was a prospective, interventional, comparative, nonrandomized clinical study. Uncorrected distance near visual acuity, analysis including MTF curves (iTrace aberrometer, Tracey Technologies, Houston, TX, USA) were measured 60 patients bilateral IOL with 6 months follow-up. Forty eyes received ReSTOR (Alcon), 40 ReZoom (Advanced Medical Optics) eyes, Tecnis ZM900 Optics). The comparison aberration between performed using variance (ANOVA), followed by Dunn test when necessary. Results: mean uncorrected acuity similar all three groups IOLs. group provided better than ( P < 0.001), but to group. Spherical significantly higher = 0.007). Similar found for aspheric spheric ReSTOR, both 5 mm pupil 0.001 at spatial frequencies). Conclusions: Diffractive IOLs studied presented diameter. Both showed spherical aberration, which full-diffractive ReZoom.
