摘要: A paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic reconstruction of the Motilla del Azuer’s (Daimiel, Ciudad Real) area during Bronze Age is proposed from a paleo-palynological study. Throughout site sequence, which ranges between 2200 1350 cal BC it divided into four main phases, 4.2 ka cal BP event recorded. Several climatic oscillations in an exceptionally arid period (phase II between 2000 1800 BC) are documented in. New arguments presented to show importance climate special hydrological features La Mancha as factors that partially explain construction “motillas”, i.e. settlements structured around wells exploiting water table whose circular fortifications exercised clear control on subsistence production management Mancha territory.
