摘要: Summary. Background: Current guidelines state that platelet aggregation studies should be conducted within 4 h of venepuncture because the decline in sensitivity to agonists. This constrains activity clinical situations where samples need transported or there are unavoidable delays prior assessment. Objectives: The aim present study was compare systematically responses platelets stored presence either citrate heparin, two most widely used anti-coagulants, using a range standard techniques. Methods: Blood taken from healthy volunteers and assessed immediately at ambient temperature (18–25 °C) for 24 h. Platelet reactivity agonists determined by combination 96-well plate techniques; light transmission aggregometry, thrombi adhesion, ATP ADP release, TxA2 release; whole blood aggregometry; PFA-100. Results conclusions: Testing techniques allowed simultaneous measurement multiple concentrations The anti-coagulated with heparin were predominantly preserved all assays after 24 h storage, whereas, greatly diminished. Consequently, anti-coagulation but not citrate, preserves up 24 h as
