摘要: One important role of Schwann cells is to promote clustering voltage-gated Na+ channels on the axolemma at nodes Ranvier. Recent cumulative evidence demonstrates that disruption nodal channel clusters key pathophysiology in immune-mediated neuropathies such as Guillain–Barre syndrome. Autoimmune attack against either axons or myelin can disturb neuron–Schwann cell interactions and near nodes, disrupting resulting nerve conduction block. Furthermore, proteins highly accumulated be a direct target autoimmune reactions. This chapter focuses dysfunction Ranvier during neuropathies.
