摘要: Abstract Transient hole burning due to population redistribution among the hyperfine levels was studied in Y 2 O 3 : Eu 3+ nanocrystals produced both by laser evaporation and sol–gel techniques. The line widths two samples exhibit a very different temperature dependences. It appears that while dynamics of laser–produced is dominated electron–phonon interactions with size-restricted normal modes nanoparticles, nanostructured material controlled some other mechanism, e.g. disorder. Persistent spectral fluorescence narrowing experiments were performed on SiO glass containing Eu . While dependencies width are similar found regular glass, ∼30 times larger, suggesting dynamical effects two-level systems much stronger than glass. difference homogeneous measured suggests presence diffusion this system.
