摘要: During the last decades, a plethora of nanoparticles have been developed and evaluated real hype has created around their potential application as diagnostic therapeutic agents. Despite suggestion agents, only single nanoparticle formulation, namely iron oxide nanoparticles, found its way into clinical routine so far. This fact is primarily due to difficulties in achieving appropriate pharmacokinetic properties reproducible synthesis monodispersed nanoparticles. Furthermore, concerns exist about biodegradation, elimination toxicity. The majority formulations that are currently routinely used clinic for purposes. These aim more efficiently deliver (chemo-) drug pathological site, while avoiding accumulation healthy organs tissues, predominantly based on “enhanced permeability retention” (EPR) effect. ability integrate entities within hold great promise theranostic purposes considered be highly useful personalizing nanomedicine-based treatments. In this review article, we present applications summarize frequently non-invasive imaging techniques describe role EPR nanotheranostic formulations. context, nanotheranostics image-guided delivery individualized improved interventions addressed.
