Three-figure Cosine Factors for Fourier Analysis and Synthesis. Part I: A Modified Stencil Method

摘要: A new set of cosine factor strips is described, operated by a modified Patterson-Tunell stencil method, and designed to give summations at 120ths the cell edge in crystal analysis. The method equally suitable for other operations involving Fourier analysis or synthesis. Only one strip employed each amplitude, sign indicated automatic signals, without ambiguity. complete outfit, comprising full three-figure range files, sorting boards stencils, very compact weighs about 6 lb. Application calculation structure factors outlined.
