摘要: Vortex lattice melting of YBa2Cu4O8 (Y124) crystals has been investigated by means the bulk measurements. The vortex softening as a precursor to first-order transition can clearly be seen in x’ well x” when field is applied parallel c axis. Y124, approximated Hm = 217(1 — T/Tc)1.48 (kG), appreciably lower than that Y123. This suggests substantial reduction dimensionality Y124.
