摘要: Considering the worldwide incidence of well characterized demyelinating disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and increasing number pathologies recently found to involve hypomyelinating factors micronutrient deficits, elucidating molecular basis central nervous system (CNS) demyelination, remyelination hypomyelination becomes essential development future neuroregenerative therapies. In this context, review discusses novel findings on contribution galectin-3 (Gal-3), transferrin (Tf) iron processes myelination their potentially positive regulation oligodendroglial precursor cell (OPC) differentiation. Studies were conducted in cuprizone (CPZ)-induced demyelination deficiency (ID)-induced hypomyelination, participation glial neural stem cells (NSC) process was evaluated by means both vivo vitro assays primary cultures.
