摘要: The sources of the tensile strength and fracture both continuous glass fibers discontinuous wool are explored in terms structural anisotropy, enthalpy relaxation, defect orientation, surface inhomogeneities. spun from E-glass basaltic melts, respectively. It is revealed that axial stress plays an important role enhancing oxide fibers. increase leads to anisotropy (flaws, bubbles, striae, etc.) hence strength. Besides stress, cooling rate also increases These findings further substantiated by annealing experiments on below Tg. onset temperature decay close relaxation relative contributions different factors fiber schematically scaled with help sub-Tg annealing.
