摘要: Highly coordinated iron and cobalt nitrides were successfully synthesized via direct chemical reaction between a transition metal molecular nitrogen at pressures above approximately 30 GPa using laser-heated diamond anvil cell. The novel found to crystallize into the NiAs-type or marcasite-type structure. FeN could be quenched ambient pressure, although it was gradually converted ZnS-type structure after pressure released. On other hand, CoN recovered with through phase from few gigapascals during decompression. Marcasite-type CoN2 also GPa. High-pressure in situ X-ray diffraction measurement showed that zero-pressure bulk modulus of is 216(18) GPa, which comparable RhN2. This indicates interatomic distance N–N dimer short...
