摘要: Abstract Objective To investigate the neural alteration of reflex pathways arising from cutaneous afferents in patients with chronic ankle instability. Methods Cutaneous reflexes were elicited by applying non-noxious electrical stimulation to sural nerve subjects instability ( n =17) and control while sitting. Electromyographic (EMG) signals recorded each thigh muscle. The middle latency response (MLR; latency: 70–120ms) component was analyzed. Results In peroneus longus (PL) vastus lateralis (VL) muscles, linear regression analyses between magnitude inhibitory MLR background EMG activity showed that, compared uninjured side subjects, gain suppressive increased injured side. This also confirmed pooled data for both groups. degree significantly correlated that PL. Conclusions excitability PL VL is modulated Significance may be potential tools pathological state system controls lower limbs
